Bruce Seidel (@Bruce_Seidel) is the founder of Hot Lemon Productions (@HotLemonProds), a multi-platform production agency with culinary focus specializing in brand strategy, film/television/digital development & production, food & beverage consulting, and the curation of premium consumer-targeted & private culinary experiences (festivals, events, pop-ups). Seidel is a major influencer and leader in lifestyle media and brand development with over 20 years experience building high profile media brands (Discovery Channel Worldwide, Animal Planet, Food Network, Cooking Channel).

After earning a BA in Communications from the University of Southern California, Seidel made his first mark in the Industry as a trainee at the famed William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills, and then as a development assistant at Home Box Office, working in a variety of genres. In 1993, Seidel moved to Washington, D.C. with Discovery Communications and served as programming liaison for Discovery Channels Worldwide, developing global co-productions & launch strategies for channels in Canada, Asia, Europe & Latin America. With the inception of Animal Planet, Seidel served as Manager of Programming creating overall programming, scheduling & acquisition strategies, and also serving as special natural history programming liaison for the Discovery Communications/BBC joint venture.

During his 14 year tenure as a senior executive at Food Network, Seidel played a key role in the highly successful 1999 network rebranding, developing and produced top-rated television hits including Iron Chef America, Next Iron Chef, Worst Cooks In America, Next Food Network Star, and White House Super Chef Battle: An Iron Chef Event, and generated lasting relationships with top network talent, culinary personalities and industry influencers. As Senior Vice President of Programming & Strategy for Cooking Channel, Seidel developed the successful programming line-up, including such hits as Extra Virgin (with actress Deb Mazar), Unique Eats & Sweets, Bitchin' Kitchen, Hook Line & Dinner, Kelsey's Essentials (Emmy nominated), Chuck's Week Off and Easy Chinese (Emmy nominated) all boosting ratings by more than 100%, and developed strategic partnership with the Hearst Corporation for Food Network Magazine related programming & Good Housekeeping for Drop 5 Pounds.

During his time in NYC, Seidel also served on committees for the James Beard Foundation, GLAAD and other organizations. In the restaurant space, Seidel is an investor in the acclaimed Market Table restaurant located in the Greenwich Village, NYC. In 2010, Seidel was awarded as one of OUT Magazine's Top 100 for his contributions to the culinary landscape.

With the rise of the digital media landscape, Seidel moved to Los Angeles to be founding CEO of the successful food-centric premium YouTube channel HUNGRY where Seidel led all creative, programming, production and marketing of digital content, and developed broadcast and cable programming for Fortune 500 brand Coca Cola, and Wholly Guacamole. Seidel’s work at HUNGRY earned him a 2012 Taste Award for “Break Out Foodie of the Year”.

In 2014, Seidel founded his own lifestyle brand consulting and production company, Hot Lemon Productions.
